ADS1278: solution select

The CS5368 is very functionally similar to an 8-channel version of the PCM4204 (4-channels).  A 2-chip solution from two of those devices would be pretty close.

The ADS1278, is very functionally equivalent to the CS5368, but it is not designed as a dedicated Audio ADC and does not feature the I2S, LJ, or RJ Audio Serial Interface digital formats and some other features you may find in an Audio ADC.  The TDM output formatting is very similar to the Audio TDM output formats and would likely be compatible.  Performance wise,
