HI, just a quick question,

I want to ask about product positioning between AFE5828 and AFE5818

Because the spec of AFE5818 is better than AFE5828, but their spec value is so close

We're evaluating AFE5828 now. Your advise will help us to select component.

    Hi,

    AFE5828 and AFE5818 has same ADC core inside. So they have same digital features. The key differentiation comes from the VCA die.

    AFE5818 has slightly higher power consumption 140 mW/ch with better input referred noise (0.63 nV/rHz @ LNA 24dB). Whereas AFE5828 has lower power consumption 102 mW/ch with input referred noise (0.8 nV/rHz @ LNA 21dB).

    HI Bellala,

    I got some question as below,

    1. AFE5828 and 5818 has noise difference, but why SNR is the same?

    2. In actual diagnostic ultrasound application, what is your suggestion?

        such as AFE5818 is suitable for portable ultrasound system or other application
