ADS4222: How to calculate the impact if using single end CMOS clock input

Hello,

I just see it's recommended to use differential input for best performance.

But if I use single end CMOS clock input, how to make it precisely calculate the reduced performance?

Then I can decided to use it or not.

Xiaoqiang,

There is no calculation for this. The performance is based on the jitter the clock has. If you have a clean single-ended clock source, you should be OK.

One more question, as there is no stock of 1.8V oscillator sample, we use 3.3V oscillator. Can it works fine?

I am not sure as it's AC coupled to ADS4222.

The input to the ADC must be less than 2.4V p-p. I do not think the 3.3V oscillator output will meet this requirement. I would suggest adding a buffer or voltage translator to the output of the oscillator to lower this swing.
