ADS122C04: Restarting conversions in continuous-conversion mode

Part Number: ADS122C04

Hi,

We would like to use the continuous conversion mode of the ADS122C04 to implement interleaved sampling of three channels. It seems that we can implement this by first configuring all the configuration registers and then only updating the configuration register 0 each time we want to switch to the next channel. Is this correct or is another START/SYNC command required after each MUX setting change?

Specifically, the following sentence in section 8.4.2.2 of the data sheet leads to doubt about the approach above:

"Writing to any configuration register during an ongoing conversion restarts the current conversion. Send a START/SYNC command immediately after the CM bit is set to 1."

Thank you,

Brian
