ADS8638: how to read thermistor configured with bypass capacitor

Part Number: ADS8638

In page 64 of the DS, the section named "DRIVING ANALOG SIGNAL INPUT WITHOUT AN OPERATIONAL AMPLIFIER" describes the use of a bypass capacitor and the sampling rate for determining the output impedance of the circuit. Can you explain how we can use this configuration to read a thermistor and whether a 10kΩ @ 25°C thermistor is within the range for measurement? The idea is to expand dynamic range by not using a traditional voltage divider (resistor + thermistor). Any details you can offer are highly appreciated.

Thank you!
