DAC81404EVM: Different DEVICEID for chip on Evaluation Board?

Part Number: DAC81404EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC81404, DAC81402, DAC61404, DAC61402

Hello,

I tried to do some kind of sanity check when my software starts up. So I read out the DEVICEID register (address 0x01) which gives me 0x0a70 which is an isolated Device ID of 0x029c.

In the datasheet it states that the Device ID is supposed to be 0x0298 (0x0a60 for whole register).

All other registers read out fine, so I don't think there is an error in the software but I can doublecheck with an oscilloscope to be sure.

Are there different IDs for the single chip and the one on the evalboard or is there a mistake in the datasheet?

My Setup:

- DAC81404EVM

- External Microcontroller with self-written software

Best Regards

Dennis
