The data sheet does not specify the device quantity for the daisy-chain and it only shows an example with three devices in a daisy-chain in Figure 7-27. Based on support experience, three or four devices in daisy-chain configuration should be fine. More devices in daisy-chain mode may lead to timing errors which will violate the setup parameter requirements and result in incorrect data capture by the host controller. Also, note that the overall throughput of the system is proportionally reduced with the number of devices connected in a daisy-chain configuration.
