DAC7760: DAC7760 Daisy Chain

Part Number: DAC7760

Hi Team,

I currently want to use the Daisy Chain method to control two DAC7760s, the first DAC7760 can be controlled (0v ~ 10v),
But the second DAC7760 cannot be controlled, do you have a sample code or any information for me to refer to?

  • Kevin,

I'm sorry, but I do not have any example code to share that use the Daisy Chain method to control two DAC7760s. Perhaps you could share your schematic? Maybe there's something that is physically preventing that mode of operation.

Generally, I do not recommend using Daisy Chain mode. It can be difficult to get working, and because of some of the problems outlined in section 8.3.10.1 and 8.3.11.1 with the device interacting with the SPI. I think it's easier to use the device with a controller that can handle two independent sets of SPI, or having parallel SPI lines with separate /CS selections and a gated SCLK.

Can I contact you through E2E messaging? I think it would be easier to discuss this directly. I can friend you and we can pick up the conversation there.
