DAC104S085-Q1: Output Voltage range / Power-down mode off

Part Number: DAC104S085-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC104S085, DAC53204

Hi Team,

My customer is considering DAC104S085-Q1 to control converters in BMS.

1. The output voltage seems to be from 2.7V to 5.5V. Does this mean that the customer need to add additional device to drive voltage below 2.7V?

2. The customer doesn't want to use Power-Down mode. In this case, can they set OP1 and OP0 as 0 to turn off this mode?

3. The customer has considered DAC104S085-Q1 and DAC53204 but DAC104S085 has internal resistors (2.5k and 100k) while DAC53204 doesn't have them. Do the internal resistors affect the external resistors the customer will use to control converters?

Thank you.

  • Hi,

I will answer these questions below.

    1. Output range is from 0V to Vrefin ( Vrefin can range from 0V to Va supply voltage).  No need additional device to drive below 2.7V

    2. DAC can be powered down by setting OP bits to 11

    3. No, But I suggest DAC53204 for this application.

    Regards,
