ADS1291: understanding TIDA-010005

Part Number: ADS1291
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-010005, TLV9062, INA317,

Hello

I have some problems of understanding TIDA-010005 pacemaker detect in hardware .

the application said it  detect the rise rate of the input pace  from 30usec to 200 usec ; but what about the gain staged ?   lets assume ads1291 PGA have gain of 1 . then  I can see we have gain of 2 in INA317 then  gain of 101 on TLV9062 . so total gain is 202 .  but the simulation of TINA in the DIFFERENTIATOR  expect a rise time of 10usec to 200usec .

lets assume the input signal has a rise time of 100us but after the gain of 202 the rise time is 100us/202 = 0,49 u sec ..

Do I miss something in the application ; could you explain please?

Thank you

  • Hi Hector,

    Thanks for the post.

Amplifying the input pace signal by adding gain stage will not affect the rise time of the pace signal. The amplifier slew rate will be affected by the amplifier gain configuration, which should have minimal effect on the overall pace signal rise time. You can download the INA317 and TLV9062 TINA simulation models and verify the design.

    Thanks
