ADS1120-Q1: Require analog power supply, (AVDD – AVSS) / 4, monitor accuarcy data

Part Number: ADS1120-Q1

HI Team,

8.3.11 System Monitor of the datasheet says:"Note that the system monitor function only provides a coarse result and is not meant to be a precision measurement"

Could you please provide the acuracy data of measuring the analog power supply?

  • Ba Dong,

I have a similar enquiry on this question.  I am looking for some characterization data in our local records on this diagnostic feature, but have not found any.  Engineers involved in the product definition and initial release of the device say that you should not expect accuracy better than 2% to 3% over temperature.  If I find any additional information I will let you know.

    Best regards,

    Art Kay

  • Ba Dong,

I have a final update.  Each product undergoes a final test verification before being shipped.  The (AVDD - AVSS)/4 feature is tested at room temperature an a 3.3V supply with limits of 2.44mV.  We do not have over temperature information on this test.  For future products I will encourage the team to include a data sheet accuracy specification for this feature.  Sorry for the long delay on getting the full details on this.

    Best regards,

    Art
