ADS1115: Voltage Divider for 0-5Vdc Sensor Signal

Part Number: ADS1115

Hi everybody,

I have a question about voltage divider for ADS1115 single-ended sensor input.  We have a sensor which gives output as 0.5vdc to 4.5vdc. We have MCU which is ESP32-wroom and and working 3.3VDC. I know from the datasheet, We limited VDD+0.3. We are supply the MCU and ADS1115 with 3.3VDC and we have max input limit as 3.6VDC.

We thought that we can make a voltage divider with resistors. We thought that we can use 100K resistor with %1 error value. But when making research we saw that some people uses capacitor.

Should we use capacitor from input to gnd?

Also resistor values and error values good or not?

thanks for your helps
