ADC3664EVM: Start of ADC355x EVM GUI fails: "Fatal error detected: Failed to execute script latteExec"

Part Number: ADC3664EVM

Hi,

as described in the title already, starting of the ADC355x EVM GUI fails.

Instead, a dialog box appears with the message: "Fatal error detected: Failed to execute script latteExec"

Did I miss something to install?

Well, I think I followed strictly the procedure described in the ADC3664EVM User's guide.

  • Hi Christian,

Try un-installing the ADC35XX GUI and re-installing. You can find the installer at the link below under 'Order & Start development' / 'Hardware & Software Package' (select 'view package').

Please reach out again if you continue experiencing issues.

    Regards, Amy

  • I un-installed the ADC35xx GUI and re-installed it.

For this, I used my Administrator account.

When I switch back to my ordinary account, and I try to start ADC35xx GUI, it still returns a dialog box with the message: "Fatal error detected: Failed to execute script latteExec"

It runs perfectly when I start the GUI from my Administrator account, but for safety reasons my company does not allow me to operate my PC from my Administrator account for longer times. I am allowed to use my Administrator account only for SW installation procedures.

So how can I install the ADC35xx GUI and use it from an ordinary non-Admin account ("SW install for all users")?

  • Hi Christian,

I checked back with the team and it sounds like the GUI was developed and tested on PC's with admin rights. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we are now looking to make a common installation for all users. I will get back with you soon.

    Regards, Amy
