ADC3643: How does it convert 14-bit ADC output into 16-bit output mapping and how output data is changed into?

Part Number: ADC3643

Hi team,

How does it convert 14-bit ADC output into 16-bit output mapping and how output data is changed into?

For example, If its internal 14-bit resolution ADC read analog signal and convert into digital signal "D0~D13" as "0x0FFF", what is ADC3643 output digital data DOUT @"output resolution=16-bit" configured by its output bit mapping? Is its output data "0x0FFF" or "output resolution=16-bit" equals to add "D14=0" and "D15=0" on original signal "D0~D13"?

I am considering using ADC3643 as "16-bit DOUT bit stream with 14-bit A/D converted resolution." I refers to "Figure 7-3. Timing diagram: 1-wire serial CMOS" for "D0~D15" DOUT output bit stream.

Regards,
Ochi
