[FAQ] ADC128S102-SEP: Power on / off (up / down) sequencing requirements

Part Number: ADC128S102-SEP

In the datasheet, it is mentioned that analog power rail should ramp before digital power rail during power up.

What about during power down?  Is there guidance about proper sequencing?  Should digital power rail ramp down first, followed up analog power rail?

  • Hello,

Yes, the same power-supply requirements also apply during power-down (power-off) of the ADC128S102-SEP.  The abs max rating table states that the digital supply (Vd) is never 0.3V greater than the analog supply (Va) and this also applies during power-down. See the abs max Table 6.1 rating that VD must never be higher than VA+0.3V.

At the time of this posting there are no known power-supply timing requirements outside of the voltage requirements listed above.
