ADS54J66: Is there any registers for SYSREF± and lets the user know if the SYSREF± signal is captured by the ADC?

Part Number: ADS54J66

Hi Sir,

In our project, we want to achieve  power-up deterministic phase by JESD204B. However, till now, the power-up phase is not deterministic.

We'd like to check the status of SYSREF± to know if the SYSREF± signal is captured by the ADC. Can we get the status from registers?

Furthermore, do you have any idea for the power-up deterministic phase?

Sincerely,

LB Shi

  • LB,

There is no register indicating the status of SYSREF. Makes sure that if SYSREF is DC coupled, the common mode and voltage swing meets the data sheet specs. If AC coupled, make sure you are sending at least two pulses. Also make sure SYSREF is the correct frequency. Max SYSREF = data rate / (K *N) where N is a whole integer.

Regarding your deterministic issue, this can be caused by an invalid RBD setting on the RX side. See attached for more info regarding this.

    Regards,

    Jim
