Not able to communicate with the DAC5571 EVM

Hello Ted,

I looked at your oscilloscope picture and I think what is happening is that the control byte you're sending puts the DAC5571 in power-down mode.

Here is the control byte I read from the picture following the acknowledge: 00100001

From the datasheet the PD1 and PD0 bits control the device modes. Sending PD1=1, PD0=0 would therefore power down the device and the output will be connected to ground with a 100k Ohm impedance.

I must say, i am surprised by how fast you guys responded. The response i got from working with Ti's ZigBee product for the past few months has been a bit slow and i ended up solving most problem on my own. So far working on Stellaris and DAC has been a truely amazing experience with the e2e fourm.

I will try out your suggestion ASAP and i also think i need to do some modification on the Stelleris I2C code. Again, thanks for the fast response and your solutions.
