LM98519: SHP and SHD signal clarification.

Part Number: LM98519

Dear All,

In my project i am using LM98519  for converting CCD analog output into digital.Regarding this i have 2 doubts,

1.I am using CDSb mode for sampling. If i provide the MCLK, digital output came from LM98519 without providing SHP and SHD signals. Is this correct way or need to do any register configuration?

2.In this datasheet mentioning "CDS or S/H Processing with Negative Input Signal Polarity".Need clarification in this point.

 Thanks & Regards,

   Kathir

  • Hello Kathir,

Thank you for your interest in the LM98519. Please expect a response by 4/07.

  • Hello Kathir,

Under the CDSb mode, according to the datasheet:

In modes SH1b and CDSb, the input SHD or SHD and SHP signals are ‘gated’ by the internal AFEPHASEn signal to create the internal Sample and Clamp signals.

Furthermore on AFEPHASEn regarding SHP and SHD:

    1. Both SHD and SHP are digital inputs, are you leaving these inputs floating: when you aren’t proving SHP and SHD signals?
    2. Can you identify where you are measuring the digital output signal?
      • Are they at TESTO_0(pin 39) for SH SAMPLE Timing and TESTO_1(pin 40) for SH CLAMP Timing?
        • See below:

    2. "CDS or S/H Processing with Negative Input Signal Polarity" seems to be an error in the datasheet. The LM98519 does not offer selectable input polarity selection.

I have highlighted follow up questions above for clarification on your issue.

    Best regards,

    Bill Chieng
