ADS1013: FW difference between ADS1013 and ADS1015

Part Number: ADS1013
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1015,

Hello,
we switched from ADS1015 to ADS1013. I am aware of the HW differences.
I thought that the FW would stay the same. We are using the same code that worked with ADS1015, but are now having trouble getting the ADS1013 to work.

Is there any difference in firmware that we should be aware of?

  • Hi Jana,

There are some slight differences between the two parts when it comes to features and the data rate. Unlike the ADS1015, the ADS1013 does not have an alert function. This means there are no HI/LO threshold registers. The ADS1013 also has a fixed full scale range setting of +/- 2.048V as well as only 1 input pair.

When you say the part isn't working, what kind of behavior are you experiencing? If you can provide a schematic as well as any relevant oscilloscope shots, that would be very helpful.

    Regards,
    Aaron
