DAC900: Min Update Rate & Timing Diagram

Part Number: DAC900

Hi,

According to the data sheet, the lower limit of the update rate is 125Msps, is this the lower limit of the Max update rate?
Customers use it at lower data rates. Is there a lower limit of Update rate specification?

And T1 and T2 of the timing diagram are TYP 3ns. Since T1 + T2 is an update rate, if there is a lower limit for the update rate, please tell us about the maximum values for T1 and T2. I think this is related to the acceptable duty ratio, but I couldn't find it in the DS.

Also, I think that these parameters are usually defined by Min values.
Does TI have the data?
Data Setup Time
Data Hold Time

In addition, these parameters require a Max value.
Propagation Delay Time 1 ns
Output Settling Time to 0.1%

Please tell us about the above parameters if possible.

Regards,
Hiroshi

  • Hiroshi,

The 125Msps is the lower limit of the Max sample rate with the power rails between  2.7V - 3.5V. This limit increases to 165Msps if the power rails are set between 4.5V - 5.5V.

The lower limit of the sample rate is probably a few Hertz. If needed, we can verify this in the lab.

This is a very old legacy device from Burr Brown, which was purchased by TI around 2000. Anyone who has worked on the part is no longer with TI. The only source of information we have available is the data sheet.

    Regards,
