TPL0102-100: Bandwidth

Hi team,

My customer want to use TPL0102-100 in their new project and asked for the bandwidth of this part. The TAM is 100K/Y.

The range of the resistor is 0ohm to 20Kohm, the DS didn't mention the bandwidth calculate method.

It seemed the bandwidth in the Electrical Characteristics not same as the figure 10. Is the BW in Electrical Characteristics -3dB? Or the load is different?

Hi,

The plot is for bandwidth measurement when TPL0102 used in rheostat mode. Have a look at the specifications for divider mode and rheostat mode.

In divider mode, BW is 229K

Rheostat mode, BW is 54Khz (Plot) and table.

Thanks for your reply, my customer used TPL0102-100 rheostat mode for IVD in conjunction with amplifiers. Do we have the result bandwidth when Wiper set 20Kohm in rheostat mode?

Hi,

We test the device with code 0x00, so total resistance is approx 100K +/-20% (80K to 100K)

Bandwidth for this configuration with CL = 10pF is 54KHz. So in your case, I can say approximately 54KHz * 5 = 270KHz +/-20%

For exact number you need to verify with your board.
