TI-JESD204-IP: Need to fill excel sheet which was requested to fill- Need help

Part Number: TI-JESD204-IP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE7950

Hello Team,

We have requested for TI's JESD204C IP, for which, We received a excel sheet to fill.

We need help to fill this one.

We are using TSW14J56+AFE7950,

Now, please help now to fill these.

Am I correct upto some extent?

Is data rate 1500?

what is meant by multiple devices? and

deterministic latency required?

and also, let me know how to fill right side image details of AFE7950.

Regards,

Vandana.

  • Hi Vandana,

Please note that you are requesting the IP for the Zynq 7000 FGPA, but you mention using the TSW14J56EVM. Are you planning to move to the Zynq 7000 FPGA?

The first table looks to be filled out correctly. The parameters in this table are all related to the specific mode of operation that you plan to use with the AFE.

The data rate parameter depends on the mode you are configuring the AFE. The data rate for the DAC is equal to the Sampling Rate / Interpolation Factor and the ADC data rate is equal to Sampling Rate / Decimation Factor. The multiple devices parameter is asking if your design will include the use of multiple AFEs. The deterministic latency parameter is asking if your design will require deterministic latency.

To fill out the second table you must first determine the configuration you plan to use the AFE79xx in. If you already have a configuration you then can simply enter the sampling rate, interpolation/decimation, and JESD mode that you plan to use in the table.
