ADS131A04: Long term availability or alternative

Part Number: ADS131A04

Dear forum members,

Currently I'm designing a new product with an ADC in it. Previously I've had good experience with the ADS131A04 and it will fit the requirements for the new product as well. The only requirement that is debatable is the lifecycle of the part. My customer wants the product to be producible for at least 10 years. TI states 10-15 years and The ADS131A04 has been around for 6-7 years now.

The question: would you use this part for a new design given the 10 years requirement? And if not: can you recommend an alternative?

    Hi Frank,

    Thank you for your interest in our ADS131A04. 

    We have no current plans to obsolete and cease production of this device. In fact, we have several products which last beyond this 10-15 year term, and the ADS131A04 continues to be designed into customer products. 

    It sounds like you have found our Product Life Cycle info page already, but I'll link it here as well for others to find.
