ADC09QJ1300-Q1: Subsampling technique

Part Number: ADC09QJ1300-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADC09QJ1300

Dear teams,

My customer is using ADC09QJ1300. They are not understanding following sentence in the DS 9.2.1.3: A sub-sampling technique is used to interpolate data points to form an equivalent 32 GSPS capture of the pulse for more accurate details and multiple capture averaging is used to suppress noise. Could you help give some insights whether this 32 GSPS sub-sampling technique is an internal function of our ADC? How to understand this sentence?

Thanks!

Dylan

  • Hi Dylan,

The sub sampling technique is not an internal function of the ADC. It is just a method where you input a coherent input signal into the ADC and shuffle the samples around to get single cycle of the input signal with effective sample rate which is much higher than actual sample rate.
