ADC121S101: ADC121S101 and ADCS7476 replacement

Part Number: ADC121S101
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADCS7476

Hello,

The electrical characteristics of  ADC121S101 is almost the same with ADCS7476. The differences between them is the ON resistance R1 of the multiplexer and track or hold switch.

R1 is 500ohm of ADC121S101  while ADCS7476 is 100ohm, under the same fCLK and same sample rate conditions,  but the tACQ of ADC121S101(350ns)  is less than ADCS7476(400ns).C2 has the same value , so the RC time of ADC121S101  is higher than ADCS7476, why the tACQ is less than ADCS7476?

Best regards

Kailyn

  • Kailyn,

The acquisition time is not set or define solely on the RC of the input sampling and hold  circuit. Instead, the design of the the device is based on multiple factors including internal circuitry that may be different within the devices.
