TLA2528: vs ADS7128 vs ADS7138

From what I gather from the datasheets, the ADS7138 is the automotive variant of the ADS7128, but lacks the RMS module and RMS zero crossing detector. The TLA2528 is the less expensive version of the ADS7128 that lacks a comparator (and interrupt), CRC, RMS, and zero crossing detector. Due to the identical pinouts (and address selection, and registers), both the ADS7128 and ADS7138 are drop in replacements for the TLA2528. Are there any other differences between these 3 chips?

    The ADS7128 datasheet has the following table showing the feature differences between ADS7128, ADS7138 and ADS7138-Q1:

    These devices also support different operating temperature ranges:

    • ADS7138-Q1: –40°C to +125°C 
    • ADS7138: –40°C to +125°C
    • ADS7128: –40°C to +85°C
    • TLA2528: –40°C to +85°C with mostly typical specifications in the electrical characteristics table in the datasheet.
