ADS8568: Does ADS8568 have an internal hold?

I'm using a pair of ADS8568 in a design, with an external XCLK provided at 10 MHz. CONVST for all eight pairs of channels is driven simultanously.

Does the converter have an internal hold feature -- that is, it's in "tracking" mode until it gets a CONVST and then there's a hold that is enabled during the conversion?

    Yes, this device does have a tracking mode. The terminology used in the datasheet to refer to this is "acquisition". These terms can be used interchangeably, and refer to the same time and action of a SAR ADC, when the sample and hold capacitor is being charged by the input signal. The acquisition, or track time, starts automatically after the conversion time, or hold time, has elapsed.
