ADS1601: Is there EVM or reference design of ADS1601 chip?

Part Number: ADS1601
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1602, ADS127L01

hi  ti

      Is there EVM or reference design of ADS1601/ADS1602 chip?

  • Hello Rain,

    Thanks for your interest in our ADS1601 and ADS1602. Unfortunately, we do not have an evaluation platform for these devices.

    Do you actually require the full 1.25 MSPS data rate? We have some newer devices that operate at a fraction of the power with much improved SNR and THD performance. The ADS127L01 can sample up to 512 kSPS with both wideband band FIR and sinc3 digital filter options.

    Regards,

    Ryan

  • Dear Ryan

    Thank you for your recommendation, but the customer needs a sampling rate of more than 1M SPS, so ads127 is not suitable;

    In addition, how to select the vrefp, vrefn and VMID power  of ads1206? The current of reference source is not enough (internal resistance of vrefp and vrefn is 300 Ω), and the accuracy of LDO is affected by ripple.

  • hello,any update?

  • Hello Rain,

    Understood on the data rate requirements.

    A typical configuration for an external reference voltage is VREFN = 1 V, VMID = 2.5 V, and VREFP = 3 V. This device also features an internal reference, which can adequately drive the modulator sampling stage.

    Regards,

    Ryan
