DAC81404EVM is not working for bipolar mode .

We have given AVDD - 10V and AVSS -10V

but the output is coming.

whereas unipolar the device working fine.

What do you see on the output when you configure it the EVM to the bipolar range?

Hi Paul,

My requirement of DAC is get the negative output voltage (-8V).

So , we started with by giving AVDD +10V and AVSS-10V to get DAC channel output -10V.

But we observed output at VOUT_A and getting 0V.

Are you using the DAC81404EVM GUI? If so, can you provide me a picture of your register map?

Hi Lucas,

we have custom board with us, the device configured via SPI interface by setting proper register settings as per datasheet.

we are testing DAC output range -10v to +10v and Avdd: 8v, Avss -8v , Dvdd +5V

presently we are getting all DAC output channel ABCD -8V output but unable to change to -4.5v /-2.73V.

We have calculated the CODe value as per formula given by datasheet and tested in asynchronous as well as synchronous mode.

Looks like DAC output data is not updating , always we are getting -8V in all DAC output channels.
