ADS5296A: ADS5296A - drive analog input

Part Number: ADS5296A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: THS4541, , ADS5296, ADS52J90, THS4509

Hi,

I want to drive the ADS5296A with differential op amp. (THS4541)

pls. provide reference schematic.

in addition could I drive the ADS5296A with single ended signal?

if yes, pls. provide reference schematic.

Regardes

  • Hi Zeev,

Let me find out the schematic or any reference design with ADS5296 and get back to you by tomorrow.

    Thanks

    Abhishek

  • Hi Zeev,

I am consulting my team to provide you any available design document of driving ADS5296A with a differential opamp THS4541.

Out EVM schematic also doesn't feature any amplifier to drive the ADC.

Hence, so far I haven't found any existing document.

Please allow me some more time to figure out a way to support this. Will let you know by Monday.

    Thanks & regards,

    Abhishek

  • Hi Zeev,

I checked for the collaterals of AFE5296A to be driven with amplifier THS4541. Unfortunately we do not have any reference schematic with THS4541. However, I have a reference schematic for the ADC ADS52J90 with THS4509.

Regarding your question, in addition could I drive the ADS5296A with single ended signal?

No, you cannot drive the device ADS5296A with Single ended input primarily because the common mode voltage range of the device is 0.95V +/- 0.05V which will not provide the complete swing of the input in single ended mode.

I hope this answers your question.

Let me know if you have further questions.

    Thanks & regards,
    Abhishek

  • Hi Zeev,

Is there any thing else I could help you with?
