ADS1299-4: ESD diode need for ads1299

I need a clarification regarding ESD, it is necessary to add ESD diode in ADS1299 channels (4 channels), if added where should i add before RC circuit or after RC circuit, and also suggest a ESD diode specification...

    Hi,

      It's not necessary but, it's suggested. And, it's customer's responsibility to design, tests, V&V, Qualify the product to meet the IEC and/or FDA standards/regulations if it's for medical graded device.

      There is no suggested ESD diode spec as it will eventually depend on the standards/regulations the product will be certified.  Usually, ESD diodes should be placed close the the electrode jacks/connectors before filters.
