Part Number: ADC128S102EVM

I need to interface to the ADC128S102EVM board through the J26 SPI port

Can I use the Precision Host Interface board as just a power supply and voltage reference?

Can I just plug in the USB but not connect using the Control GUI software.

Will/are it's SPI bus lines from the PHI going to interfere with extern SPI on J26?

I was hoping that if the Control GUI software was not running/connected, the SPI outputs from PHI are disabled/tri-stated.

Hello,

No, the PHI cannot be used solely as the power supply, it is set up to do all power supply and SPI interface, or none at all. Thus you cannot connect it and get power from the PHI without connecting to the GUI which will then activate the SPI bus and will interface with any external connections.

If you would like to use the EVM with a different communication method, you will need to supply power through J27 and TP1
