ADS125H02: drift error

Part Number: ADS125H02

Hi team,

For table 47, ADC Drift Error, is it calculated based on gain is 0.1875? While taking gain drift as calculation example, it is 4ppm/C*105C*(2*2.5/gain)*e-4/(2*2.5/gain)=0.042%, which is not 0.032% shown in table 47. Could you please kindly help clarify?

Thanks a lot!

BR,

  • Hi user6471363,

As section 10.2.1.2 states, "This example assumes the initial offset and gain (including reference voltage error) are user calibrated at TA = 25°C". Therefore, it is assumed that all of the initial gain error is removed at this temperature. The gain error will only have an affect as a result of temperature drift from TA (25C) to the max temperature value (105C). The temperature difference is therefore 105C-25C = 80C. Multiplying 80C by the gain drift spec (4 ppm/C) results in an error due to gain drift of 320 ppm, or 0.032%.
