ADS7263: Changes from ADS8361

Part Number: ADS7263
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS8361, , OPA348

Hi

In the past we used the ADS8361 for simultaneous sampling of 2*2 Channels.
We also have an Offset Voltage in alle 4 Channels of 2.5V generated by the ADS8361. Now I planned to switch over from the ADS8361 to the ADS7263.

I had nearly the same questions like in the thread:
https://e2e.ti.com/support/data-converters-group/data-converters/f/data-converters-forum/350767/ads7263-single-ended-signal-use-of-cma-and-cmb-in-pseudo-differential-mode?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=ADS7263#

With the ADS8361 we had the Design this way:
Ref-Out -> 100nF to GND -> OPA348 as Buffer -> 100R -> 22µF + 100nF to GND and 10nF to all 4 Channels + all CHA/B0/1N-Pins and Offset to the Operation Amplifiers who are driving the signals.

In the new Design with the ADS7263 I prefer it this way:
- Stays fully different (2+2 Channels)
- RefIO1 as internal reference for alle 4 Channels + external 22µF + 100nF.
- RefIO2 as external Offset for all 4 Channels + external 22µF + 100nF (no OP any more).
- Alternative assembly: Bridge (0-Ohm resistor) from RefIO1 to the external Offset Network.
  If I would use this Bridge I should better use only one 22µF Capacitor.

What is your opinion to this circuit?

Kind Regards

Thomas Donner
