ADS8353-Q1: Query in Noise Analysis

Part Number: ADS8353-Q1

Hi,

We are using ADS8353QPWRQ1 and is giving an external ADC reference voltage from an LDO through a buffer. The buffer output is fed to the ADC reference pin. The output broadband noise of the reference is filtered by a low-pass filter with a 3-dB cutoff frequency of 1.6kHz. The LDO output noise density is modelled and is given at the buffer input for noise simulation. Please find the attached simulation file.

In the datasheet, section 8.1 it is found that the output broadband noise should be typically in the order of a few 100 μVRMS of the reference source. Hence, trying to verify whether the broadband noise of reference source is limited to within 100μVRMS using TINA simulation.

The "Total Noise" result shows 199.53nV at 1.6kHz. Can we consider this as the total reference noise to the ADC pin and conclude that it is less than 100μVRMS. Is our understanding correct?

Also, we have another query on the calculation of the equation shown below. Can we take the SNR (dB) from the Electrical Characteristics in section 6.5 of the datasheet?
