ADS7066EVM-PDK: Operating without the PAM

Part Number: ADS7066EVM-PDK

I'd like to drive the ADS7066EVM SPI using my own MCU and not the PAM.  What is the easiest configuration to achieve this?

My thought was to separate the PAM and EVM boards and only connect the four pins labeled 5V, 3V3, and GND (x2) between the two boards using jumper wires.  Do I need any other connections?

  • Hello,

The ADS7066EVM users guide has a schematic of the board, on page 22. it shows the default configuration of the PCB.

note that AVDD and DVDD are shorted together through R6, and is connected to the 3.3V rail. the grounds will need to be connected between the boards.

and you can use T3, T6,T7,T8 to connect to the digital bus

    Regards
