DAC63202: Current output

Hello team,

I received a question from the customer.

The datasheet shows that the resolution is 8bit for the current output, but is it not 12bit? Also, if it is 8bit, are DAC63202 and DAC53202 also 8bit?

Hi Masa-san,

Yes, the current output resolution for all of the devices in this family is 8-bit. If you are using current output mode then you should choose the lowest resolution device available. We do have the 4-channel DAC43204 which is an 8-bit device, bit it looks like the DAC53202 is still cheaper if you only need 2-channels.
