ADS1014: maximum power dissipation

Hi expert,

May I clarify with you if the maximum power dissipation of ADS1014 e.g. 3.3Vdd is just 3.3V*300uA=0.99mW? Wondering if I missed anything else otherwise why we didn't spec the maximum value? Please help advise.

    Hello, 

    The grand majority of the power dissipation will come from VDD and the supply current consumption, but there is also temperature variants as shown in the figure below

    Also, there is a minor current consumption through the digital bus, which is based on the pull resisitor value and voltage as well as frequency of communication. This is a minor aspect of the entire system current consumption. For more information on this you may refer to: SAR ADC power scaling, in the digital aspect.
