ADS122U04: GPIO0 and GPIO1 purpose/use

In general GPIO pins can be used for whatever purpose you like.  For example, you may use them to control an external multiplexer, or control the power down on an amplifier.  You do not have to use these pins if you don't have a valid use for them.

Thanks for the answer. I was expecting to find a module in the ADC that would interact with them depending on an event (similar to the DRDY function of GPIO2).
