AFE5828: TSW1400EVM firmvare source + AFE5828

Part Number: AFE5828
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE5832

Hi,

I want to compile firmwate source code to get afe5828 register and data,Where can I get the source code of the FPGA firmware  in the TSW1400EVM?

Best regards,

Chailes

  • Hi Chailes,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Typically the firmware is loaded onto the TSW card while connecting the same with the GUI. Let me find out if there is some source code available. Please provide me some time to get that.

    Thanks & regards,

    Abhishek

  • Hi Chailes,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I checked with my team, turns out that the source code for the TSW1400 EVM has been made in a very generic way with a deserializer. It just does the data separation and plots on to the HSDC tool.

Unfortunately, this firmware was developed by a third party vendor and supports multiple devices across TI portfolio. We do not have the source code for the same.

Hence, we cannot provide you the source code of the TSW1400 firmware which has Intel's Arria FPGA.

In the past, we had developed firmware for 10-bit deserialization for our AFE5832 with Xilinx Artix-7 FPGA. If you can use that source code and scale it for higher deserialization, we can provide the same.

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks & regards,
    Abhishek

  • Hi Abhishek,

where can I get  firmware for 10-bit deserialization for our AFE5832 with Xilinx Artix-7 FPGA ,We hope to benefit from your experience.

    Best Regards,

    Chailes

  • Hi Chailes,

    Thanks for the interest.

Can you send me an e-mail regarding your requirements on support_us_afe_tx@list.ti.com along with your registered TI account name and address.

I will provide you the access the our server location from where you can download the source code for the 10 bit implementation.

I will  go ahead and close this thread. Let's discuss further over email.

By the way, you already have an NDA with TI, right?

    Thanks & regards,

    Abhishek
