ADS1263: Refout with an OPA337 charger amplifier

Part Number: ADS1263
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA337

Hi

I intend to supply the ADS1263 using 5V.

Also, the sensor to be read will be used with an charger amplifier (OPA337), with T-network configuration (as in the image below) and also supplied with 5V.

Since it will be supplied with 5V, and not +-2.5V, where it shows GND connection in the circuit below, it will be actually connected to 2.5V.

Is it okay to use the 2.5 V of the refout pin for it? Or would it be better to use the VBIAS or even an external 2.5V?

R1 and R2 have magnitude of MOhms.

Best

  • Hi Helder Oshiro,

The REFOUT pin on the ADS1263 can sink or source 10 mA of current. So as long as your circuit does not require >10mA of current from the ADC VREF (it doesn't seem like it would), using the REFOUT pin should be okay.
