ADC3643EVM: Configuration of CDCE6214 clock generator

Hi,

ADC35XX EVM GUI just allows to set 10 / 25 / 65 MHz as sample frequency for ADC3643 in ADC3643EVM.

I want to use a differente sample frequency. Is there a way to change the configuration of CDCE6214 clock generator (change some script, use another tool...)?

Hi Miguel,

The CDCE6214 register map can be found here: https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/snau247b/snau247b.pdf

You can also install the TICS PRO software here: https://www.ti.com/tool/TICSPRO-SW. Even without an clocking EVM, you can setup your desired clock settings and export the register map in the 'raw registers' tab 'export register map' option to get the required register writes.

Thanks for your answer. Ok, with TICS PRO I can get the required list of register writes. Then, is there a tool I can use to do such writes?

I was wondering if ADC35XX EVM GUI is using a script I can tweak...

Hi Miguel,

I have attached the script and tested it with an ADC3662EVM. Once you plug in the USB, you can run the script and you should see the PLL light on the EVM lock. The register writes that are hard coded in the script configure the part to output Fs=80M and DCLK=10M. Let me know if you have any trouble using it.
