Recently my customer starts to test AMC60704 function. Because they had used AMC60804 on their board, they tested the AMC60704 instead of AMC60804 on the same board. But on the same board with the same configuration, the result is different between AMC60704 and AMC60804. Based on their optical module application, the RX power increased 0.5db, from 0.5dbm to ~2dbm, the power increased 0.2W. The IDAC is set about 50mA and the VDAC is set from -1V to -1.5V, both of them are under the same condition, but the RX power which is controlled by IDAC and VDAC are not the same and apparently the RX power have different power dissipation. What may be the reason of this phenomenon? Is the configuration on AMC60804 can be applied for AMC60704? And are their power consume the same?
