ADS1198: How often GPIO is latched to register in ADS1198?

Part Number: ADS1198

We have configured ADS1198 for GPIO1 and follwing SPS

and GOIO1 pin is being driven by another chip asynchronous to ADS. From what I understand GPIO1 is latched into GPIO register for next output data frame on SPI bus.

Question is if GPIO1 is being sampled at the ADS sampling rate? Or register values reflects immediate changes on GPIO?

FYI, ADS1198 doesn’t have register up to 0x20h, so when you mentioned

“Register(20)=0x01,//GPIO1“

might not be valid.

Were you trying to say “GPIO: General-Purpose I/O Register Address = 14h”?

And, I am assuming you want to set it to Input. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Datasheet page 27 describes how the GPIO works – “Status and GPIO register bits are loaded into the 24-bit status word 2tCLKs before DRDY goes low.”

Hi,

20 is decimal not hex,

Yes I want to have GPIO1 as input so I programmed its register(0x14) =1. Thanks p.27 answered it.
