We have been evaluating the ADC08DJ5200RF ADC for use in a single event capture application. For our initial investigation we have been using the following TI evaluation cards and software
ADC08DJ5200RFEVM ADC Evaluation Card
TSW14J57 Rev E HSDC Data Capture Card (Intel FPGA)
TSW14J58 HSDC Data Capture Card (Xilinx FPGA)
ADCxxDJxx00RF EVM GUI (Version 1.3, build 10 June 2021)
HSDC Pro (GUI ver 5.20, DLL ver 2.0, Firmware ver 15.15)
Since we are capturing single events, we need a way of synchronizing the ADC/HSDC system with our incoming signal. By default the "Data Capture Options | Trigger Option" drop down menu is disabled. When we were using the TSW14J57 we were able to modify the ADC .ini files to enable triggering using the TI document "TSW14J57 ADC INI File Guide" (attached).
We have now selected the TSW14J58 (Xilinx) platform. However, when I attempt to modify the ini files as I did with the other card, I get a LabVIEW vi error (attached).
Questions:
1. Is there a document descibing how to enable Trigger in the TSW14J58 INI files like the document above?
2. If not, is it possible to modify the following files to enable external trigger:
a) ADC12DJ5200RF_JMODE44_8G_12G.ini
b) ADC12DJ5200RF_JMODE45_8G_12G.ini
