ADS1235EVM: 4-wire AC excitation

Part Number: ADS1235EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1235,

Hello Experts,

Would you review a register setting for 4-wire AC excitation?

  • Hi Yasushi Fujiwara,

Can you please post the customer name in the "Notes" section of the Thread Tracking Toolkit. This can only be seen by TI employees

The only registers I see that are not default are:

    • MODE1 = 61h = 4-wire AC bridge excitation mode
    • MODE3 = 0Ch = GPIO2 and GPIO3 are set to 1
    • INPMUX = 87h = MUXP is AIN5 and MUXN is AIN4

Some things to note about this configuration

    • You have not set the GPIOs to be connected to the AINx pins (MODE2 register, bits 7:4). Therefore, the GPIOs will toggle but you could not use them for anything

Are you / the customer using their own board, or the ADS1235EVM? Note that the ADS1235 only provides the controls signals for external switches, not the switches themselves
