ADC-TEMP-SENSOR-FW: EVM initial setup failed

Hi ,

I want to setup debug environment using TI EVM board. It detects Firmware update required, but when I click on load firmware, it will prompt for upgrade failure and ultimately no PAMB controller detected. Causing me to be unable to enter normal testing.

Can you give me some suggestion for this case?

Welcome to the TI E2E forums!

Usually, when the firmware update fails it is because the USB Device Firmware Update (DFU) driver is not installed and the GUI is unable to load the updated firmware image to the PAMB controller.

Please take a look at the following two E2E posts for instructions on how to download and install the DFU driver:

In summary, you'll need to:

1) Download, extract, and run the installer in http://www.ti.com/lit/zip/sbac253

2) Run the GUI and attempt to update the firmware to get the PAMB board to go into DFU mode...this will fail but that's OK.

3) Open Windows Device Manager and find the PAMB DFU device (it may be called "Unknown Device").

4) Manually associate the "boot_usb.inf" driver to the unknown device (following the steps in the FAQ)

5) Re-run the GUI and attempt to update the firmware again...this time the update should succeed.
