ADS114S08EVM: Hardware connected but the software not responding

Part Number: ADS114S08EVM

Hello,

I have downloaded the Delta-Sigma (DS) software following exactly the instructions given on the data sheet for the board mentioned. Following the suitable connections of the jumper and switches on the board, it was connected to the PC. The software shows that the hardware is connected (written on bottom left corner). From the data sheet, we are supposed to see a screen with register names and the binary equivalents. But when i am connecting the board, its just a blank screen with the headings " register name" , " address" etc. is written. I dont know how to resolve this issue.

For further reference, the location of the DS software is : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\DSEvalSW"

Thanks

  • Hi Lavany Pant,

Welcome to the E2E forum!  There are two software installs required which is explained in the EVM user's guide.  The first is the generic main application which you have installed.  The second is the device package installation which contains the files required for the ADS114S08EVM.  From the ADS114S08EVM tools page you will see the download for ADS114S08EVM-DVCPKG. Make sure the main application GUI is closed, then install the device package, plug in the EVM and restart the GUI.  You should now see the proper register map for the EVM.

    Best regards,
