  Good day,TI expert.

  The diode in the Simplified Schematic is to make sure Analog input voltage < 0.7V  ? 

But I also saw there are no diode in the Typical Application,if I don't miss something. 

So is it necessary to connect the diode to the analog input in series?

If it's necessary,what kinds of diode are you recommanded?

    Hi,

    The inputs are usually sensors or photodiodes for 

    CT Scanner DAS

    Photodiodes

    X-Ray Detection.

    We don't have recommended photodiodes.

    So, just to be clear. There is no need to put any diode at the input. That diode in the picture represents usually the photodiode/sensor that the user connects at the input. If you have a different type of device driving that input, you do not need any diode. The input voltage will still be very close to zero as long as you do not saturate the input...
