Hi Sir/Madam,

We are developing a hand-held ultrasound and are using AFE5832LP together with TX7332. We are now on the stage of developing color-flow imaging with autocorrelation. However, we do not know if it is OK by only controlling the TX7332 to transmit square waves and then receive the signals by the AFE5832 to realise this aim. Or we have to control the TX7332 to transmit sine waves to perform color-flow imaging with autocorrelation.techanique. Could you please tell me more details about this or how you do this step in your AFE5832EVM.

Hi Qi,

For the color doppler application, you can use the CW signal chain path implemented in the device AFE5832. The CW output

Please note the following:

1. The output signal in the CW path is a current output unlike the TGC path that has a voltage output. The down-converted and phase-shifted currents of all the channels are summed and given to a single node. You will have to connect an an external differential amplifier followed by an ADC to digitize the output.

2. TX7332 device does not transmit sine wave. It is a pulsar which generates high voltage rectangular pulses to drive the transducer.
